I wish I was who I was 2 months ago.
okay this year’s new work arrangement is kind of a love-hate thing. I can come home from work, go for a run, bathe, have dinner, play piano, make a big sandwich, eat it, pass something to a friend and waste tons of time annoying my brother and it’s still 9. wow. I can still study driving, prepare for cell and watch a couple episodes of Modern Family. last year I would come back from...
wow. for once in my life nights are the worst time of the day.

again, why is public housing (purpose: to provide dwellings for citizens who cannot afford private property in a land scarce country) being treated as much of an investment as stocks and bonds?
funny how much I now favour style over substance (case in point: D2x) and what it has done to me.
I think many of us spend our whole schooling lives creating options for ourselves. now that’s the problem. we should instead be making dreams, hopes, ideas.
lesson learnt the hard way: unless the LORD builds the house, its labourers labour in vain.
what is the alternative to sitting around and feeling bad about things? what do people actually do when they’re bored?
sometimes I wish I had a stay-in vocation (which means I should stay in a hostel when I do my MBBS?).
I think we’ve really become a generation who throws things away when they don’t work. before, they used to fix things that didn’t work. sad, isn’t it. I throw away all sorts of things - food I make, posts I write, hope, dreams, etc etc
looking at ‘May 2012’ in my archive proves that this has been the most thoughtful I’ve been in decades (okay, years). May 2011 has 131 posts. but not as many text posts. coincidence anyway?
what is the relationship between a man’s son’s adopted son and the man’s wife in his second marriage? (yes, it’s from Modern Family)
I miss the 3 hour-long Sunday meetings we used to have at McDonald’s after church camp meetings and lunch. The easy-to-fall-asleep Monday nights, because Sunday nights were never long. The evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, where I knew I was guaranteed 3 full hours of no work, no stress, just pure freedom in the pool until training ended at 7:30pm. The short Wednesdays, often followed by...

and then you meet Kelvin Koh. the photos you see here - they’re really what any one of us photographers has in our portfolios. except we usually have a handful. what I think puts him above the rest is that into each photo you see a ridiculous amount of effort (the kind I would put into my favourite holiday shot when I was fifteen; those hours of planning and hours on photoshop). into every...
and yeah I miss all you guys. so so much.
hate being told what to do.
Things that influence my uni decision
1. How cool it sounds when I tell someone what course I’m studying and where
2. How prestigious it is to study there
3. Colour of the university logo
4. Whether it awards a BA or a BSc (I always think BAs are cooler)
5. How feasible it would be to go for a morning jog/swim safely and pleasantly; how accessible cheap, good food is
6. How photogenic the university campus is
lastly: what...

It only takes a spark to get a fire going, And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing; That’s how it is with God’s Love, Once you’ve experienced it, Your spread the love to everyone You want to pass it on. What a wonderous time is spring, When all the tress are budding The birds begin to sing, the flowers start their blooming; That’s how it is with God’s...
WP's Png wins Hougang by-election with 62.09% of...
Questions (hypothetical):
1. The PAP has offered a multi-million dollar development package for Hougang. Additionally, the NCMP ‘saga’ and the fact that this by-election is due to the failure of a WP member have surrounded the election. What does this say about the Hougang residents, who have voted Png in?
2. Are Singaporeans blind to who they vote for? Is our representative...
